Thanks for the reply frodo. I had already tried pressing the reset button on
the router and that didnt work. I had also tried turning off the firewall,
with no success either. I have just tried turning off all security and
adding 192.168.1.1 into trusted sites list and that also does nothing. There
are two security programs on the comp that I know of: Norton antivirus and
the Windows one. Is it possible for there to be more on the comp that
wouldnt be apparent?
One thing I have noticed is that the DSL light is no longer on. I am nearly
positive that it had been on at some stage. Would that be because of
reseting the router.
My parents are now considering getting a router from their service provider,
but if the problem is with getting into that site then I think they will
still have the same problem. Do all routers use that same site?
I would be really grateful if you might have some more ideas that I could try.
