I try to change zone replication type for zone _msdcs.Forest_Name
in the DNS on a Win 2003 Domain Cntroller to replicate this zone in the
forest and
I receive the following error :
The replication scope could not be set.
There was a serer failure.

Is it a zone?

(It can be but the default is that it is a subdomain within the parent
zone.)

If it is part of the parent zone (.e.g., Forest_Name) then it cannot be
changed separetly.

Do you have a Domain with a SINGLE tag name? e.g., Domain. and
not Domain.com?

Bad idea; you might want to consider fixing this before going further.

Do you have at LEAST a two-tag DNS name?

If not, start by fixing that.
