I have probems with my DVD-ROM Drive. The transfer mode changed into PIO Mode. My DVD-ROM Drive is ASUS E-616 and it should runs at DMA Mode 5 ot ATA100. I'd checked in the BIOS and it's all fine. BIOS recoqnize my Drive and it shows "DVD,ATA100" in POST Screen. I try to uninstall this device and restart Windows XP, remove all registry entry about my DVD-ROM. I have selected "DMA if available" in Device Manager but it won't change to DMA. I also checked the IDE cable and it's 80-pins and the jumper placed to Master in Secondary Channel, nothing wrong. How do I force the transfer mode? Can I fix it withcout reinstalling Windows XP? Thank you !!!
