I can't change count to average in pivot table data

's Computer Specifications

I have a calculated field feeding data in an access pivot table, I need to
have an average but it keeps showing only a count and the options to sum,
count, STD, etc are greyed out. I cant change the data format either, I need
currency but it keeps showing general even after I change the field settings.
Why cant it be as simple as excel pivots!!!
