Have you / do you....?
1). Select the main "style" on the first "Theme" page (tab) of "Display
Properties" (Windows XP / Windows Classic / etc.,).
2). Having applied the main theme (for instance; the blue XP theme or the
"Classic") then change over to the "Appearance" (tab) of "Display
Properties" and click on the "Advanced" (button).
You can then change / specify any individual dimensions, font size and
colors using the drop-down "Item" box to select an aspect then using the
other drop-down boxes to make any adjustments.
3). Always remember to press the [OK] button to apply your changes when you
come out of the "Advanced Appearance" dialog and also when closing *any* of
the other dialogs (as thoughtlessly pressing the "Cancel" button instead by
mistake will result in your changes not being applied).
