Hi
I'm trying to capture video off my Canon HV20 Camcorder onto Windows Movie
Maker. I've got a 4 pin to 9 pin Firewire cable going in. I'm using HDV/DV
off the camera.

Movie Maker recognises the camera. I set it to recommended video setting.
Capture tape automatically.

Now when I go to capture the video I get no preview and even though the
computer is controlling the camera and it is running the counter on Movie
Maker isn't moving. Anotherwords it's not going in. When I cancel and it asks
me to save i say yes (just in case) and i get this error message.

"The video was not captured correctly. Make sure that your video camera and
capture device are configured properly"

Anyone have any ideas.

Does Movie maker use HDV and DV or does it have to be SP?

Thanks in advance to any help offered.
