I am trying to set up our fax service at work on a windows
2000 Pro machine and when I select Properties in Services
for Fax Service and select the Log On tab, I try to type
in a user account that has administrative priveleges on
the current machine that is part of the network domain and
I get:

"The specified domain either does not exist or could not
be contacted."

I have followed the instructions strictly from
http://support.microsoft.com /?kbid=246151

but can't get past the Log on account.

What is not allowing this user to be added with the
correct password????

How are you specifying the user? Did you try <DomainName>\user1? Also make
sure you are logged on as some Administrative user, when you are trying this
operation.

Thanks,
Anand
