I have a P3 unit with XP. Just installed it to a new hard drive. Everything
went smooth and all the drivers loaded however in the device manager there is
an ! next to the display adapter. It says that it cannot find an open
resource. The video card seems to work perfectly though. There are open IRQ's
and according to MSInfo that doesn't seem to be the problem. I can't find
what the conflict is. Hardware Resources says that it is sharing a resource
with the CPU to AGP controller but doesn't say it is conflicting. Is there a
way to fix it or should I ignore it if it seems to be working?

Thanks in advance.

Ok... I found the conflict is with the CPU to AGP Controller in the I/O and
memory range. If I delete the AGP controller it also deletes the Display
Adapter. The built in hardware troubleshooter describes how to fix it by
adjusting the settings, which it does not allow you to do. (Nice job, MS).

OK... I managed to fix the problem myself. Tried different drivers and found
one that was more recent. That did the trick.

So saying nasty things about MS software wasn't appropriate?
