Under W2K there is an option within Arrange Icons to show by Date.

This option does not show in XP.

How do I do it then?

If you change to "detail" view then click the header of the column "Date"
then the dates will be in ascending or descending order.

So you can, Neil! Thanks a bundle!

Whilst I've got your attention, can you also tell me how I can get the
Footer which is shown in W2K, i.e. the line starting xx Objects and Disk Free
Space ..., to show in XP?
