I have a problem with my CD-RW not being able to burn CD's
and my DVD not opening and when it does, sometimes it will
read the CD, sometimes not. I've found the 'error report'
on both but don't know what they mean or how to fix them.

The errors are:

1)The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom1

and

2)The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block.

Can ANYONE PLEASE help me with this...I hope somebody will
respond with some help!! Please!!!!

Buy a new one. Or if it is new get it replaced. I had the "bad block" error on an HP CD/DVD combo drive and HP replaced it. The laser was bad. After a year I got the same error again. I replaced the drive and it is working fine.
