I recently upgraded an OEM copy of XP home to XPPRO. I am trying to add IIS
services due to a vendor requirement. Each time I try and add IIS and other
services, I get a file not found error. It does not matter if I use the
XPPro CD, Copy the I386 folder to the computer's hard drive, or copy a known
good I386 folder to the hard drive of this computer.

The WindowsXP home contained all the recent updates except IE7 (Vendor's
software does not work with IE7) Home eddition was WinXP SP2. Upgrade CD
was Windows XP Pro SP2.

Thoughts, Comments, Ideas?

You might try another copy of the files from a download:

Download details Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 Manager for Windows
XP:
