can't add new calendar entry

I'm running Vista ultimate with office 2007.
My outlook 2007 just started playing up. Whenever I try to add a new
calendar entry it pops up with this:

"Out of memory or system resources, close some windows or programs and try
again"

I've run out of ideas, uninstalled office, made a new pst file, deleted all
my office specific user files, system restore to yesterday. All no good.

Anyone have an idea?
