Can't add network clients, services, or protocols

Hopefully someone in here will be able to help me. We
use a Sonicwall VPN firewall at work to allow certain
employees access to their work PCs from home using remote
desktop. We install Sonicwalls software on their home
computers and configure it. During the installation
process, it installs a network service
called "Deterministic Network Enhancer". On one computer
we have found that this service did not get installed
when Sonicwall was installed. So, we tried to manually
install the service and get the error which says (from
memory, computer not in front of me right now) that the
path could not be found and that their were no INFs
found. The same thing happens if I try to install a
client or a protocol, I just plain can't.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and
how I would go about fixing it? Dell support says to
reinstall the OS. To me, that is an absolute last
resort. Thanks in advance for your help.
