Can't Add IPOD to my devices list

I recently got my free IPOD from http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=19633398 and I
wanted to copy RM files from Real Player to the IPOD but the IPOD doesn't
show up under my devices list.
Do I need to install the driver or special plugin to make this work?
