Can't add domain user to local group

I have added several machines running XP Pro SP1 to a
Windows2000 domain. In order to allow users to run
certain programs that require administrative rights, I
need to add the user's domain account to the local
computer's Administrators group. But when I try to do
this, no domain accounts are shown - the domain is not
available as a location to search. I tried it logged in
as local Administrator, and as a Domain Administrator.
This has always worked for me on other W2K /XP sites, with
this same procedure. Anyone have a clue why it won't work
here? Identical results with 4 machines so far on this
network.
