Buy another copy and get a licence or format you hard drive and install the
OS you had before.

I'm in deep doo-doo. I installed Windows XP Pro at my
office after already installing it at home. When I tried
to activate, I learned it was not kosher and needed to
remove it. But I procrastinated. Now it is past
activation date. I need to pay for a license or remove
it.

But I can't even log on to remove it!

The Student Version I got seems to have no phone tech
support coming to it, so I don't know how to find out how
to remove it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

john

Either purchase a "full retail version" of Windows XP Pro
and perform a "repair install", or reformat your drive
and reinstall your desired operating system. Your
license for the Academic version of XP is not valid
when installed on a computer in a business environment
anyhow.

How to Use the Fdisk Tool and the Format Tool to Partition or Repartition a Hard Disk
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;255867

1. Delete the Windows XP partition.
2. Create a new partition.
3. Format the new partition.
4. Install your desired Operating System.
