I just installed Win XP Home Edition SP1 using a cd that has never been used
yet. I have the product key but for some reason I get an "Invalid Product
Key" message. I can't seem to get any tech help from the microsoft site. I
keep getting sent in circles. Am I possessed with Satan now?? Can anyone help
me ...please

This always happens when using a product key that belongs to a non-matching
installation CD (e.g. Retail or OEM). Ring your Microsoft office if you
believe that this is not the case.

Is that the product key that came with that CD? My guess is that it's
not. The product key has to match the CD with respect to Home vs.
Professional, Retail vs. OEM, and Full vs. Upgrade.

In addition to what the others posted, make sure you are copying the
number correctly. Eights can look like Bs, zeros can look like Os and
sixes can look like Gs.
