I fear this will be the idiot's question of the day...
I'm building two systems (one for me, one for my dad) on ASUS A8V
motherboards (Athlon 64/3200 cpu). With one of them, the front-panel
thermal display simply began functioning as I worked my way through
installing the hardware hierarchy, but with the second, while the
hard-drive light flickers at the appropriate time, the thermal display
panel remains dark.
Since I don't know what I did to get the display working with the first
system, I don't know what I've failed to do with the second. I assume
that I've failed to properly power the probe and connect it to the
motherboard, but I haven't found anything in the manual specifically
addressing the issue and am hoping that someone here can point me in
the right direction.
