I'm not able to access my site with FP after my web host changed servers

Go to My Network Places on your PC and delete the entry for your web site.
Reboot and then try again.

Thanks Kathleen. Unfortunately, that didn't get it. Any other ideas?

Did they move your site to a new server with a new IP address? When did
they do this move, and how did they do it?

Also, try going to http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download
FPCleaner - run the two steps that Clear FrontPage "Temporary" Files and
Clear FrontPage Web Cache files (*.web).

Yes, they moved the site to a new server and it has a new IP. They did
the move around the 6th of the month. I'm not sure what you mean by how
they did it. I can't seem to get a response from Verio "support."

The server extensions looked to be installed when I access the site with
FTP. These are the files with "vti" in them. Right?

By using FTP, you've probably corrupted the files, so that's why it won't
work - never use FTP if you have the server extensions installed to your
root web. Ask the Host to check the extensions again and reinstall them.

Yes, and No.
The _vti* files you see are part of the extensions, but they may have
been copied from your previous site. If this is the case, the
extensions need to re-installed, and followed by a server health
check. _vti* files are unique for each web site and each server.
There are other bits of the extensions stored outside of your web.
Looking at the file structure with FTP will not *normally* damage the
extensions, but manipulating any files or folders with FTP will
corrupt the extensions.
The FTP server, and HTTP server are two different things. There is no
need for them to have the same UserId or Passwords., so if one works
for you it does not have any bearing on the other.

The problem existed before I was forced to use FTP to edit the site. I
know that using FTP will corrupt FP server extensions, but I had no
choice. I'm assuming that the extensions needed to be installed after
the server change and that's where my problem lies.

Asking the host to do anything has been impossible. They won't respond
to me at all.
