Can't access shared directory

I am using Goodsync to synchronize My Documents directories between my
desktop and laptop. One directory on my desktop only has 1 file that will
sync and about a dozen that I am refused access to. Goodsync will not copy
and I can't copy by hand or open them. I have administrator rights, the
files are not password protected access, both My Documents and the
individual directory are both explicitly shared. Any ideas why I don't
have access to these files from my laptop when everything else is
accessible?
