I'm setting up a new laptop which has windows XP installed. I was able to
look at security centre to check that windows firewall was automatically on.
Then I installed Norton and decided to use the norton firewall. Since I
installed this my connection to the internet has become intermittant,
sometimes disconnecting in the middle of me writing an email. I'm assuming
this is because I have both norton firewall and windows firewall. However I'm
now unable to open the security centre to turn windows firewall off. I keep
getting a message to restart PC which I've done several times.
Could 2 firewalls be the cause of my internet connection problems, and if so
how can I get access to the security centre to turn one off?

It could be the norton antivirus software.
