Have a networked computers at home connected via a SMC2804WBR router which
had been working flawless.

Now I cannot connect to the other networked pc's shared folders. Disabled
both pcs firewall (winxp and third party) and of no avail.

Able to see the networked pcs under workgroup and able to ping each other.

Networked pcs can print to the other networked pc with printer attached.

Any clue what when wrong? First pcs with Winxp Pro SP2 while the other with
Winxp Pro SP1.

What do you mean by "can't access"? Are you getting an error message?
Authentication error? Somebody's password might have expired or been changed
on one PC and not the other.

be 100% sure you have the third party firewall allowing file and
printer sharing. If it is norton firewall etc. the default is not to
allow it so you can ping, can't browse files. I spent a lot of time on
a friend's computer until I realized he had that third party firewall
running.

Yes, I have 3rd party firewall running.

Disabled the windowxp and 3rd party firewall on both machines. Able to see
both self and other machine, ping ok but cannot access each other's shared
files directories. Printing to printer attached to networked computer is
alright.

Checked and repaired both machines secedit.sdb file.

It says no permission to access the other computer. Was working previously.
