I have reinstalled our NT4 server with Win2000 Server
Standard Ed and now there are some WinXPH PC's that can't
open or save documents on the network (especially Office97
docs and Outlook Express Emails). We are getting errors
such as "cannot save, not enough disk space" when there is
30GB worth of free disk space, And "Word cannot open the
file it is in use" when it is not in use, "Word failed
reading file. Please restore network connection or floppy
and retry" even though there is still a network connection
and "Word cannot open doc, try one of the following: On
file menu click open to open doc or make sure the doc has
a *.Doc extention", the file menue wont open the document
and it does have a .Doc extention. I have trying using
Groups on the domain and setting file permission for the
users but they still can't access files. Any Suggestions
please???

XP Home can't join a domain. You'll have to upgrade to XP Pro.
For those specific errors have a look at article 812937.
