You need to login to your laptop with an account that is identical to an
account that has admin rights on the XP machine. Same user name and
password.

Hi,

I just upgraded my primary machine to XP Professional. I can connect
to it from my laptop but all I see is SharedDocs folder. When I try
to connect to D$ drive it promps me for the user name/password. I
enter the account which is set up as an admin on the XP machine but it
says "Incorrect password or unknown username".

Is there a setting I am missing? Do I have to share D drive to be
able to access it even though I am coming in as a person having admin
rights to the box?

Thanks!
