Im able to connect to the share from DOS, but cant access it , getting Access
Denied error msg. Not sure, but guess thats coz you cant access a NTFS
partiton from DOS. Pls tell me the work around.

NTFS shouldn't apply while attempting access files across the network...

It seems to me that if you are abele to connect but cannot access then you
are having apermissions issue. I would try setting up permissions on the
server for the user name you are using. Or, if you are the admin, just log
in with <computername>\administrator
<password>
