Was looking at the lide 20 USB powered scanner for carting along with my
laptop. Any opinions on using this as a portable.....is it rugged enough?
TIA

I use it for the same reason and haven't had any problems yet. I've
even tried to use it with its lock on; makes a terrible noise; but it
still worked (after I unlocked it). The black and whites come out
great. The color scans are where you see a difference in quality
compared to the more expensive scanners.

Good luck

Bill
