Anyone using Canopus video capture cards? These seem to
be higher end cards, but I'm wondering if they are worth
the investment, and are they compatible with MM2?

A cheap plain vanilla OHCI compliant 1394 card is really all you need. I
don't think
anything higher-end is going to give you any advantage with MM2.
