Canon Zoom Browser - No Image Editor

Hi,
I have just moved from Win98 to XP Pro (should have done it years ago :-)
and reinstalled the Canon software that came with my digital camera
When I use Zoom Browser (4.0.0.1) and try to use the edit function I receive
the error message
No image editor could be run
select an image editor from the default
However there is no default image editor

Under Win 98 it seemed as if it used an image editor that was part of the
Canon package

I would appreciate any advice please

Thanks
trevor

Hi,

You might want to check with Canon for an updated XP-compatible version of
the camera software. It may be something as simple as a patch.

Not really an XP question but - See Tools / Preferences / Image Editor in
Zoom Browser and Image Editor in ZB help index. It's simply a matter of
telling it what program to use.

Both good suggestions from Rick and GTS, as the latest Zoom Browser is
version 5.5, and as was said, this isn't an XP issue, it is a Canon software
issue, which they have a searchable support knowledge base with tons of
information on their software. It may be that your version wasn't designed
for XP, and although it may run on it, you have to shell out more $$$$ to
get the version designed for XP, of course, you may already know that if
you've searched said mentioned knowledge base.

Yes thanks for all the advice - much appreciated
and in retrospect I agree that it probably wasn't an XP question
but I had searched all the Canon websites, plus googled the groups, and
spoken to the camera shop etc etc
and could not come up with an answer
so I was hoping that as this was an XP newuser group - there may have been
another new user out there that may have experienced the same problem
switching from 98 to XP
Thanks again for the advice
