Canon Scanner DR 2050C multistream not working

All sales brochures said this scanner can do multistream where the
bundled Capture Perfect software can then scans and drop out the red
ink of the form retaining only the black ink of the data. Well the
Capture Perfect would not enable the multistream option because it
can't detected it. I google to no avail. Can someone help? thanks
