canon scangear toolbox for a n1220u canon scaner

when trying to load scangear toolbox I get this error
wind16bit windows subsystem
An installation file required by NTVDM id midding
Execution must terminate c:\system32\ntio.sys
choose close to terminate the application
close Ignore

Help have contacted dell, canon and ect.ect
