When I print a photo using a print quality of Standard or less, the colors
printed look like the colors on the monitor. But if I print using a print
quality higher than Standard, the colors look terrible. Faces are dim and
gray with bright red lips.
I do match the Media Type to the actual paper I use. Using matte photo paper
and glossy photo paper, the driver doesn't allow selecting a print quality
as low as Standard, so all printing to these types of paper have the color
problem. However, when printing to plain paper, its possible (using Custom
print quality) to print in either Standard or Fine quality. And here, again,
I see correct colors when printing Standard and the wrong colors when
printing Fine.
All printing applications produce the same results. I'm using Windows XP
Home. The color profile I'm using is CNBJPRN2.icm.
Anybody have a possible explanation for this problem?
Thanks in advance.
