Canon S820 Colour problems

I seem to be having colour problems with my Canon S820. It will only print
the true colours if i select the plain paper setting on the fastest print
speed. If i select any other media type the print out is too purple, even
if i reduce the colours. I have tried printing with both Photoshop and
Photosuite and the results are the same. I have reinstalled the printer
with no effect. The default colour profile is CJPD3K00.

What the hell is going on here, i dont have a clue!!

Many Thanks !!

You've run a test print to make sure none of the nozzles are clogged?

It sounds like a photo-cyan clog. Run a nozzle check to be sure all 6
colors are printing a full grid.

OK, you're 100% sure there are no clogs. Run through your printing setup in
Photoshop for me, including all Photoshop and driver settings.

What i cannot understand is, why are the colours printing correctly when the
plain paper setting is selected and why are they wrong when any other media
type is selected.

It does it with everything, a word document, photoshop and photosuite.

What settings should photoshop be using. On the print page the print space
profile is 'same as source'. The colour setting is 'Web graphics default'.
My printer colour profile is CJPD3K00.

Cheers!!

Because the photo colors are not used in plain paper. Thus, if a p-cyan or
p-magenta clog exists, it will only rear its ugly head on the other media.

Simple,

It's the paper...
Try some Canon Glossy Photo paper and all should be fine.
Andre.

If that's his problem, I won't be too thrilled. I assume people have *some*
clue about what they're doing....

Oh! Come on, be fair, i have loads of Epson photo paper and other quality
brands, i just assumed that it would not be 'that' different from the Canon
paper.
If this is the problem then i am more than happy to make a complete arse of
myself here. I was just about to bin the printer.
1000 apologies for wasting everyones time though.

Cheers !!!!
