I've been having problems with my my Canon S800. For the past year
and a half, it has worked great. In the last few weeks, it has had
problems. I believe the ink is clogged. It seems to alternate between
not printing the black, and not printing the photo magenta. I can
usually get it printing fine again after a few cleaning cycles, but
now it is worse. I can get a good test print, and then it screws up on
a real print.
I don't think the print head needs to be replaced since it does
usually produce a good print after several cleaning cycles, but it
doesn't last long before it needs the cleaning routine again. I've
tried removing each cartridge and cleaning with alcohol, and I have
removed the printhead and wiped it alcohol. But I think I need to
actually flush it.
What is the procedure for flushing a printhead?
