Hi all,

this printer stopped to print at once, because cartridges were almost empty
I bought all 4 and put in the head. Then I try to print again and sheets
come out white. I try to do head cleaning procedure but without success.
Should I buy a new printing head? Please help. Tx

Take the carts out and take the print head out. Hold the print head
over the sink and clean it with hot water. I even use a water pik at
the nozzles. Sometimes I run a syringe with water into the ink inlet
area with a hose fitting tight to the inlet. Reinstall it and keep
running cleaning cycles to get it to work. Let it sit for a few hours
and try again.
I would not invest in a print head as the cost is more than a modern
printer almost.

Thanks. I already did this kind of cleaning without success, after 5/6
cleaning routine I've got no print at all...

It is time to get a current Canon IP4300. They are not expensive.

I have an S4500 and have replaced both colour and Black print heads.

Yes it /is/ worth doing, the older Canons were more economical and had
larger tanks than the modern printers - you get more ink per pound. (Or
dollar if you're the other side of the "pond")

I don't refill myself but I think there are less issues if you do.

I am in the US.
I also have plenty of extra ink.

Angelo
The purge unit may have failed. In many instances when you get no output at all
the purge unit is the culprit. In this case you would be better off replacing
the printer. The unit is not expensive to buy but you will need to find a Canon
agent that will sell it to you and there is a bit of labour involved, varies
between printers but rarely simple.
