A "must read" for printer maintenance with clogged head
problems -http://www.neilslade.com/papers/inkjetstuff.html for all things
canon. Did these problems occur immediately with a new printer just out of
the box? Feed problems that you have described can sometimes happen if a
small piece of paper gets stuck on one side of the feed mechanism or if a
foreign object falls in to the area. You may also have a defective feed
mechanism, and Canon will replace the printer if you are still under
warranty. If the horizontal lines are at the trailing end (about 1/2 inch
from the edge) of a borderless print you may have a slight curve in the
paper that can cause this problem. Always store your photo paper flat, not
in the printer, between print jobs, as leaving the paper in the feed area
induces a slight curve. If it is throughout the print you either have a
clog or defective cartridge. If your printing is sporadic you can get head
clogs in any inkjet printer. The i850 is a good printer and you should be
able to return it to service with Neil Slades info if all you have is a head
clog.
