Canon MP830 for UK use; can it detect distinctive ring (DRPD)?

Anyone know if there's a work round so that a Canon MP830 fax can
detect "distintive ring tone"
as I have for a 2nd number on my line?
ie when it hears that tone it automatically takes immediately as a
fax.

Manual shows thatUS/Canada users catered for in this respect where
it's referred to as DRPD.

However, fax settings do not have this option, though a cheaper
Brother fax/printer
has it in UK settings,and works fine.
(However, this on last legs).

Is it worth altering set up to show country as US, or would that cause
host of other grief??
