Does anyone have a source for refill ink for the Canon ip4200? I can't seem
to find one.

Thanks

The manual for the IP4200 give the model numbers for the ink. You can
get them at Office Depot, Staples, Costco and can even order direct from
CanonUSA.com product store.

I hope this helps you out. :-) :-) :-)

The printer is only a few months old, and due to the fact it's chipped
there are presently no sources for cartridges. Manual refilling of the
OEM tanks is really where it's at presently. Ink is harder to find
too... but others have said they had no issues with the ink for the
ip4000, and there were sites that offered ink for the ip4100, the
japanese model that took chromalife100 inks.

Here is a source of ink:

http://www.getinkexpress.com/forcanon.htm

They sell Image Specialists ink

There are sources on the web that tell how to
get around the chip. I would be surprised if
someone really copied the ink formula this quick.

If you'll note... the bcl-7 and the cli-8 are the same item number
"GIEBCI7 Color" They didn't copy it that quick but rather the bci-7
was released in japan but didn't make it to america... not in the same
cartridge that is... but rather in the chipped cli-8 cartridges.

But near as i'm aware, there are no souces to get around the chip, only
the printer it self will disable metering if the chip maxes out, after
three "i'm getting empty" messages.

The ink for the older Pixmas BCI6 is not the same ink.

If you would take the time to look... they are using the same ink for
the bci-7 series... which just so happens to be chromalife100 in japan.
It would be most helpful to actually "read" the site before showing
your ignorance, that's a good lad.

But needless to say bci-7 is compatable with the older series... as the
japanese Pixis used the same heads. And wouldn't know know it, the
newer printers are also on the bci-7s, the same ones in America that
take the cli-8.

I'm SORRY... I just had to take the time to post this as it seems only right....

I've been browsing some forums looking for info on ink cartridges and repeatedly find arrogant, insulting posts by a 'person' called "zakezuke".

Seems like he wants to pick fights with everyone.....

Gotta figure that zakezuke has some real issues... a real "sma'' d*ick" candidate I think....

zakezuke, go use your attitude somewhere else and not on forums where people are just trying to get info...

ok, that's off my chest... apologies again to all the NICE people out there.... have a nice weekend!
