Canon IP3000 - ink takes forever to dry!

I think I found the problem. I experimented with different paper type
settings. My main problem was the glossy CD stomper labels that I use.
The blacks were excessive and not drying. I changed paper setting from
'plain paper', to 'other photo paper, turned 'icm' on, and now it's
perfect! My previous Canon s830 seemed to like everything set at
'plain paper', even when printing photos on semi gloss, or high gloss.
The ip3000 likes it set to 'other photo paper'. Sometimes, that's all
it takes. So for anyone who is printing cd gloss lables using the
ip3000, keep this in mind. What a relief!

And to that lovely poster who somehow construed that I considered all
Canon inks the same, and inferred that I'm 'stupid' for making an
assumption that I NEVER made in the first place, try to think before
you write.

First of all, there is no assumption to be made. If I buy Canon inks,
of the same type cartridge and color, then yes, they are the SAME ink.
Canon does not randomly fill there cartridges with inks made from
different companies and call it Canon ink.
