Operating system Win XP SP3 RAM 1 GB

I've encountered a strange problem recently - when I attempt to print
a photo the printer prints a 1 1/2 inch segmet of the photo on one
sheet and then loads another sheet and prints another different one
and one half inch segment.

I have no idea why this is happening - can someone offer some insights
or assistance?

Thanks,

Mary

I hope you get some help because I had a similar problem with my IP4000,
however, it ceased to lay any ink on the paper after one of those
stripes on the left side of the paper.

It almost seems like there is a problem in the print head, however I
replaced it and it didn't help. I suspect there is a flex cable problem
where the power to the print head is completely gone. I hate to lose
this printer. It has been a gem.
