Canon i850 page feed problem

Still needing help. I have a Canon i850 and it has worked great until
a couple weeks ago when I started printing wedding invitation
envelopes. I had some problems getting it to print the odd sized
envelopes, but I eventually managed to get them to print. However,
ever since I did that the printer has been acting up. Every time I
submit a print it wants to feed a sheet through, then print, and then
feed another sheet (sometimes two). So what I end up with is a blank
sheet, my printed sheet, and then one or two more blank sheets. Also,
even just turning the printer on causes it to feed a sheet through.

I followed the instructions on cleaning the rollers by holding down
the resume button until the light blinks three times without any paper
loaded, (repeating this three times) and then doing the same thing
with paper loaded (three more times). It still does the same thing.
I also uninstalled the printer driver and reinstalled it (I'm using
WinXP BTW) with no luck. I think it has to be a hardware issue since
simply turning the printer on will cause the page to feed through.

Any ideas on how to correct this? Or did I screw something up by
printing non-standard sized envelopes?

Thanks again.
