I have been trying everything for 2 days now to get my scanner to "cpme
alive" on win XP home edition. I bought it a while back, and it ran fine on
Win 98.
I am getting the impression that win XP doesn't support scanners all that
well, and likely doesn't support this scanner at all.
I went to the Canon website for updated drivers ............. saved them to
my hard drive and I have opened the file. Supposedly the files are being
extracted - but the only evidence of anything "happening" - is a printable
webpage that is representative of step-by-step instructions as to how to
follow the installation wizards.
Problem is - nothing is actually being initiated. And looking in my control
panel, under installed software - nothing appears for the software for this
scanner.
Anyone else have this problem ?? any solutions I am missing ???
