just decided to put the 4200 on one of my old machines. would like to
see it work (even if it isnt printing properly yet - need a replacement
printhead). trouble is, i install it on 98SE fine with the genuine
driver, works fine (prints a test page, etc). until i restart, upon
which i *cant* restart. it just doesnt load windows. the cursor just
sits, without loading *anything*. no processes running, no activity.
great. i reboot in safemode, remove the printer, restart, and it works
fine..
what causes this?
thanks

Hi David, try reloading the printer using the driver that comes with
98SE instead of the Canon driver.

That's meashershitheads way of saying..."I'm a ****in idiot".
This moron actually thinks anyone who is (translation of his childish
horse ****) "in the business" aka, a real professional, is not to be
believed. He believes that he, who has never ever used after market ink
and who has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that he knows
nothing at all about ink, paper or printers, is the only one to be believed.
Does anyone believe this jackass of a moron?
Kill file his ignorant ass.

One thing I found out when I still used my old BJC-4300 is that you
have to download and extract the driver files from Canon's website,
but you have to use Windows Add/Remove Hardware Wizard in order to
actually install it properly, telling it to look in C:\CANON or
whereever it hides the .inf and data files.

Another thing is that the printer seems to print a garbage page each
time the computer is turned on - solution, make sure the printer is
always off before turning the computer on.

Measekite feels it's his job to harass anyone who may or may not be in
the printer or ink business (in 'da' business), whether or not they are
an active contributer to this group or not. He also feels that it's
his job to harass anyone who shares a relativly positive experence with
aftermarket ink. He does this on average 20 times a day.
He also goes out of his way to harass users he's not seen post before
in order to get them to quote his posts so others who have kill filed
him will see the same rant that has been repeated well over 4000 times
under several accounts.

Should you wish to review this user's record see google for details
