Canon BJC-2110 ???

I inherited an old Canon BJC 2110 ?Bubble? jet printer that I would
like to get running.

It runs, and tries to print fine, but produces nothing but blank
pages.

I bought two new cartridges, color & black, and have tried to print
text as well as a color pic. The printer goes through the motions of
printing, but the results are blank pages.

Should I just pitch this thing? Or can someone suggest something I
can try?

Thanks

Pitch it. It's likely the print head that for Canon printers will cost
an arm, leg, and your firstborne.

Did you buy ink tanks or a printhead with tanks? BCI-21 black and
color are tanks only = BC-21e is the tanks and printhead - about $28
to $50 and lasts for quite a while. Storage time has let the ink dry
solid in the jets of the printhead. That printer can also use the
BC-20 black only tank/head unit ot the BC-22e photo tank/head unit.

Buy a new one and you'll still be looking at catridge and head
replacements. The 2110 isn't a bad printer at all. The biggest
drawback is the rear hopper for paper - foreign objects like to fall
into them and prevent paper feeding.

Thanks

I bought tanks only. I am not sure I want to spend the extra bucks
for the print head. I'll search the cost, but if they run what you
way - the printer is dump bound.

Thanks again

Check ebay for BC-21 or BC-21e, there are tons of reputable resellers
(ok along with crooks) on there that sell this stuff cheap, surplus.

http://www.vvm.com/~action/james/8_F...kcart28aug.jpg is
what you need - the carrier and two tanks.
