cann't open internet explorer

I get an error message "The procdeure entry point SH Reg Get Value W could
not be locate in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll. This happens when I
try to open IE on xp home. Any ideas?

I cann't open it so I don't know but I think it is 6.0

Right-click on C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE <= this file
| Select Properties | Select Version | Copy/paste the results into your next
reply.

What browser are you using to access this newsgroup?

He's not using a browser. You can do that now.
