After my Vista machine has been on standby, sometimes I cannot get a video
signal again. The computer is working fine, it's recording on media center
and everything. But the screen stays black. I've tried all sorts of tricks
with the keyboard (e.g., Windows-L, Enter, Escape, ...), but it doesn't work.
Only solution is to cut the power :-(

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Christian

You are using a LCD monitor in digital mode? Change to analog mode. I have
seen a few cards that will not output a digital signal when the computer
tries to awake.

Have you tried connecting your mouse to the PS/2 port and then clicking the
left mouse button?

I had that problem, to fix it I turned off my monitor then I turned it back
on.

Hi Christian,

Did you resolve this? I am having the same problems with Vista Home Premium
on both digital and analog feeds.

Alastair.
