Cannot view status of a network adapter

Hi,

On the Network Connections window, if I select a network
adapter (in my case : my ethernet card), then I right-
click on it and select Status, no window appears and
nothing happens.

To view the status of my network card, I have to
select "Show icon in notification area when connected" in
the configuration of the adapter, and then double click
on the icon on the systray. Then it works.

Does anyone have a solution to fix this annoying problem ?

Thanks

IIRC, this will happen if you have "Launch folder windows in a seperate
process" checked in your folder options.

And do you know a way to solve this problem... without
unchecking the "Launch folder windows in a seperate
process" option (which is very useful) ?
