I am unable to view secured web sites. I uninstalled
Norton Firewall (that was a problem about 9 months ago),
reset the security settings under Internet properties,
ensured all services associated w/Norton are not running.
I have tried what Knowledge base had to offer and still
cannot access secured sites. Can anyone suggest
something??

Look under Tools, internet options, and the Advanced tab -
scroll down to security and make sure the "Use SSL 2.0"
and "Use SSL 3.0" boxes are checked.

You Cannot Access Your MSN E-mail Account or Authenticate with a Web Site in
Various Programs
When you try to access your MSN e-mail account, you may receive the
following error message:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings... Cannot find server or DNS Error
You cannot successfully authenticate with a Web site in various programs
(for example, Windows Media Player). For example, you may be prompted for
your user name and your password several times, and you may receive the
error message that is described in this section or an other error message
from the Web site that indicates that you cannot access even after you type
the correct user name and password.

You Receive a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" Error Message When You Post to a
Site That Requires Authentication
Internet Explorer may not post data from a POST request and you may receive
a page cannot be displayed error message.

If still no joy then look for some additional clues on this page.
