Cannot view item

We have a Outlook 2003 client (Exchange) that wil not view all items
in the reading pane. This happens after a fresh start of the computer.
Outlook is in the Start up group. When I close Outlook, the Outlook
process does not kill, it stays active. If I manually end the process
and start Outlook again, everything works fine.

What is causing this problem at start up?
