I was working on my computer without any problems, then
later I could not access my hotmail account. Then my norton antivirus
stopped responding, a message said that it had been tampered. Later,
internet explorer would not allow me to do anything. I could not see
any pages. MSN explorer could not sign me into my account either.
When using other browsers, I can get into my hotamil account using
this same computer. I cannot access windows update either.
Internet explorer had a setting to use a proxy server. It had 127.0.0.1.
and not to use a proxy setting for pages starting with some numbers
and update, windowsupdate and other items. I installed a different antivirus
program, McAffee, but it does not detect any viruses.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
