I am using FrontPage 2002 and running my own IIS server. For the past few
months I have been good to go with editing my webpage. I open FrontPage,
click Open Web and all my folders and pages are listed in the Folder List.
All of a sudden (literally) I can no longer see the folders. I can see the
root folder and the little plus sign to the left of the root folder but the
folder will not expand. When I go to View --> Folders it says "There are no
files in this folder" (which is an outright lie). I can open up a specific
page and make changes to it be going File --> Open, et al., but I cannot
expand my root folder. This has proved very problematic for me and all my
users. I have done Tools --> Web Settings --> Advanced --> Delete Files. I
have done the Help --> Detect and Repair... and I have banged my head against
the wall for the last three days. None have worked.

Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm
and download the FP Cleaner utility.

Run the function that clears the Cache{.web} files.

Thanks for the suggestion but it did not work. I am still unable to expand
the Folder List and the Folder view is still saying no files are in the
folder. Can it be a setting on the root folder located on the server or
another setting on the server?

In IIS root web right click for Properties & the FP 2002 SE
- run a health check and recalc
Last resort Try removing the FP SE from IIS and reinstalling / reapplying them
- your opening of single files may have corrupted the FP SE into believing there is no web there
